The elementeditor allows to insert elements into the scene and/or manipulate
them. Whether and element is created or altered, depends on the setting of
the radiobuttons at the bottom of this editor.
Depending on the selected elementtype, this editor may present a selection
tree, that requires multiple items selected (e.g. for composites and colors).
Selecting more then one item is done by holding down the CTRL key (COMMAND
for mac users), while clicking.
Notes for the Compositeeditor:
- The "Action" field lists all available actions. Not every composite
necessarily supports every action. If it does not, it'll be shown as
a stop sign. This also holds true if the other settings are not legal.
- All colorizations available are shown, because composites may not
reliably tell, which ones apply to them. It is up to the user to select
the correct ones.
Notes for the Tileeditor:
- Unlike composites, tiles only show the colorclasses, they are configured
to support. This should be sufficient for most cases. If a colorization
for a tile is desired, that is not supported, the workaround is to
export and reimport the tile as an image.
Notes for the Pictureeditor:
- Pictures can be colorized, but since there is no clue, which
colorizations would apply, it is up to the user to select a fitting
one.
Notes for the TextEditor:
- Holding CTRL or ALT while pressing ENTER in the textfield will render
the element as if the submit button was pressed.
- It is possible to render bold and/or italic text, by appending the desired
modifier to the fontname (e.g. "monospaced, bold, italic" for a
monospaced, bold and italic font).
- The length attribute applies to emotional text and determines how long
the pointy corners are.
