Attachments.
Files and folders from the Finder or any other app can be added to cards to reference it (the file isn't actually copied, just aliased).
- You can add an attachment by using the Add Attachment... item in the File menu or by drag and dropping files onto cards from the Finder.
- Double-clicking on attachments will launch the file like it was double-clicked in the Finder.
- Clicking the icon on the right side of the attachment row will reveal the file in the Finder.
- Pressing the select key while the attachment is selected will open a QuickLook preview (only Macs running 10.6 and above).
URL Attachments.
URL attachments let you add references to web pages in your cards which can be used to navigate the web page in your default browser.
- While typing tasks that start with http:// will become URL's when you press return.
- Additionally, any text you paste into a card starting with http:// will become a URL also.
- If you want to copy links from Safari or other web browsers, right-click (or control-click) on the link you want to store and select "Copy Image Address" then paste the link into a card inside TaskCard.
- After a task has become a URL attachment you can edit the name to anything you want and the original URL will not be affected.
- To open the URL in the default web browser: double-click on the icon, press the space key while the task is selected or click the goto button to the right of the row.
Email Attachments.
Email attachments let you reference email messages from Apple's Mail right inside TaskCard.
- To make an email attachment drag and drop any single message onto TaskCard (copy/paste is not support due to a limitation of Mail). Please note if you are using TaskCard with the Show/Hide like Dashboard setting on you made need to use Exposé to place TaskCard "above" Mail before dragging and dropping.
- When you want to open the message in Mail press the space key when then message is selected or click the goto button to the right of the row.
Image Attachments.
Image attachments let you insert images directly into a card to help you associate pictures with your tasks or archive snippets of pictures you want to remember for later.
- To make an image attachment drag and drop or copy and paste any picture on your Mac onto a card.
- If you want to copy images from Safari or other web browsers, right-click (or control-click) on the image you want to store and select "Copy Image". Then simply paste the image into a card inside TaskCard.
- Please note that dragging image files will produce file and not image attachments so you will need to open the actual file (in Preview for example) and copy the picture out of the app.
Card Attachments.

Cards can be attached to cards to allow nesting and archiving of old cards or to save screen space.
- To make a card attachment click and hold down on the card title until you hear a sound. At this point you can drag the card around like a tasks and drop it onto any card.
- If you want to remove a card attachment double-click on the card and it will reappear in the sheet like before.
- Please note that calendar cards can't be nested within other cards.
