Applying Payments To An Invoice
SimpleBooks allows you to apply payments, either whole or in part, to an Invoice. To access this feature, navigate to the appropriate Invoice and click the "Payments" button. This will display the Payments window. Once the Payments window is open, follow these steps...
-Enter the desired amount
-Select the type of payment being submitted
-Enter the appropriate information pertaining to the type of payment you selected.
(For example, if the payment is via credit card, enter the credit card number and expiration date)
Once a payment has been applied, the Payments window will display the amount that was applied, as well as how much remains to be paid. If the Invoice was entirely paid in full, the Invoice will be marked as "Paid". If an incorrect amount was entered, simply select the incorrect payment and delete it.
