
Saving and applying text and paragraph formatting
You can use the Styles pop-up menu to apply or save "styles," or text and paragraph formatting. Styles can include font type, color, style, and size, plus paragraph and line spacing. The Styles pop-up menu is located in the top left corner of document windows.
- To apply a commonly used or favorite style, select some text and choose the style from the Styles pop-up menu.
- To apply a style from one part of a document to another part of the document, select the text you want to change, then choose Other from the Styles pop-up menu. Click the forward or back button to scroll through document styles until you find the one you want, then click Apply.
- To add a style to the Styles pop-up menu so you can apply it at any time later, select the text with the style you want, then choose Other from the Styles pop-up menu and click Add To Favorites. Type a name for your style. Click "Include the font as part of the style" to use the font type when you apply the style. Click "Include the ruler as part of the style" to include spacing and tabs.
- You can also use the Copy and Paste buttons in the Button Bar. The Copy and Paste buttons in the "Text Formatting" section, will copy text attribetes such as font, color, size, shadow etc. while the Copy and Paste buttons in the "Ruler Settings" handle spacing attributes such as indents, tabs, and line spacing.
