Quick Start
Getting Started
Add Photos by dragging them into PhotoLinker and dropping them onto the image browser. PhotoLinker does not create a catalog or keep an internal database of photos and therefore all changes to the photos must be made by clicking the Write Changed Tags button before quitting PhotoLinker.
Add GPS tracks by dragging GPX, TCX or NMEA log files into PhotoLinker and dropping them onto the map. The Track & Waypoint Browser can be used to stylized the tracks and provides access to all your tracks previously added.
Open the Geotagging Console
and use Auto Mode to geotag your photos using tracks from your GPS or Manual Mode to enter an address or location to geotag.
Example files
Here are a few examples files that you can download and use for testing with PhotoLinker.
- SoutheastAlaskaWaypoints.gpx [1 KB] Three waypoints taken in Southeast Alaska. Waypoints do not have time stamps, but can be manually linked to photos in PhotoLinker.
- SoutheastAlaskaTracks.gpx [503 KB] Tracks taken while out on the boat in Southeast Alaska. This file was hand-built, so use it only as a rough example.
- SoutheastAlaskaPhotos.zip [5.03 MB] A few photos that correspond to the above track file. The camera's time zone for these photos was -0800 GMT.
