Using the Playlist Popup
The Playlist Popup is how you chose which iTunes Master Library Playlist or Playlist you want Dupin to search in for duplicates.
To Select a Master Library or Playlist:
- Click on the Playlist Popup to choose a playlist from the list that appears. Playlists will be listed in pretty much the same order as they are in iTunes.
- The very first Playlist displayed in the Playlist Popup will represent your entire library. It may be named "Library", or, if you are using iTunes multiple library feature, it will be the name of the currently loaded library.
- TIP: For convenience the main "Library" and "Music" library playlists can be selected using the shortcuts Shift-Command-L and Shift-Command-M, respectively.
- Playlist Folders will be listed separately from the playlists they contain; those playlists will be listed in alphabetical order with the other playlists. If you choose a Playlist Folder its entire contents will be searched.
- TIP: Because the name of a selected playlists maybe longer than can fit the width of the Playlist Popup its name may be truncated. However, if you mouse over the Playlist Popup the full name of the selected playlist will be displayed as a tool tip.
- TIP: If you have recently deleted or added playlists in iTunes, you may wish to refresh the list of playlist names in the Playlist Popup. Choose "Refresh Playlist Popup" from the File Menu or press Shift-Command-R. Additionally, you can assign the "Refresh Playlist Popup" icon to the toolbar by Customizing the Toolbar.
Your Playlist Popup selection will be saved between uses of Dupin.
